Former Fargo insurance agent Kenneth Jones was killed in a two-car collision at a Scottsdale, Ariz intersection.
A car Jones was driving was struck broadside by a another car at about 7:25 pm.
Jones, 64, died a short time later at Scottsdale Memorial Hospital. His passenger was listed in serious condition.
The funeral and burial of Jones, 7421 Camello Del Norte, Scottsdale, will be in Fargo.
Jones retired as senior vice present of the Fargo Insurance Agency in November 1978 and moved to Scottsdale. He had been in the firm for 20 years.
Jones was past president of the North Dakota Association of Independent Insurance Agents, exalted ruler of the Fargo Elks Lodge, and a director of the Fargo Chamber of Commerce.
In 1950, Jones was named the Jaycees Outstanding Young Man of the Year in North Dakota. He was a veteran of the World War II.
