If Rod's Absalom Owen Talbott is not this person, all that is from our own archives is that he was born in Ohio, nothing else. Rev. Charles W. and Eliza (McMunn) Talbott... settled in this county in 1855. The reverend gentleman was born in the state of Pennsylvania on September 28, 1791. He came to this county in 1855, and lived to the age of eighty-three years, his death occurring October 22, 1874. He was pastor of the Methodist church, and he was married to Eliza McMunn April 13, 1817. He served under General Buchanan in the war of 1812.

Note that familysearch.org has Charles Wells Wesley Talbot's birthplace as Washington County, Pennsylvania, but because there is also a Washington County in Ohio, and his son Absalom was born in Ohio, I have used Ohio instead. kjf

(Eliza Smith McMunn was born on 23 Feb 1797 in Washington, <Pennsylvania>, United States, died on 10 Sep 1884 in <Ironton>, Upper Twp, Lawrence, Ohio, United States and was buried in Woodland Cemetery, Ironton, Lawrence, Ohio, United States ^{1 3}.)
