Ælfgifu married Edmund I "the Magnificent" King of England, son of Edward I "the Elder" King of England and Eadgifu, in 940. (Edmund I "the Magnificent" King of England was born 920 or 921 in Wessex, England, died on 26 May 946 in England and was buried in Glastonbury Abbey.)
