From The Founders of Anne Arundel and Howard Counties, Maryland, p. 530:
"... John Talbott, of West River, who married--first, Elizabeth Galloway; second, Mary Waters, of West River, and had Cassandra, Lucy, Elizabeth, John and Edward, of West River; born 1723. This Edward married Temperance Merryman in 1745 and had John, Benjamin, Vincent, Mary, Temperance and Edward. Edward the elder was a witness to the wills of Major Welsh and Benjamin Laurence...

"John Talbott, above, surveyed in 1732 'Talbott's Last Shift.' This is on the Patapsco, adjoining 'Moores Morning Choice,' 'Chews Vineyard' and Edward Dorsey's estate, near Columbia. It contained 1,120 acres. He sold it to Edward Talbott, Richard Talbott, Richard Galloway and George Ellicott."

From Baltimore: Its History and Its People, Vol. III p. 795 :
"John Talbott, son of Edward and Elizabeth (Thomas) (Coale) Talbott, was born at 'Poplar Knowle,' Anne Arundel county, Maryland, in 1684, died in 1725. He married, in May, 1707, after he and his intended wife had 'declared their intentions', Mary, who was born 18, 9 mo., 1686, died 11, 6 mo., 1769, daughter of John and Elizabeth Waters, of West River, Anne Arundel county. The ceremony was performed in the Friends' meeting-house of West River, according to the Quaker customs."

• Will: Signed a will, 15 Jan 1725, Anne Arundel, Maryland, (United States).

• Probate: Estate probated, 25 May 1725, Anne Arundel, Maryland, (United States).


John married Elizabeth Galloway, daughter of Samuel Galloway Jr. and Unknown, in 1705. (Elizabeth Galloway was born about 1684.)


John next married Mary Waters, daughter of John Waters and Elizabeth Giles, on 11 Jul 1707 in Friends' Meeting House, West River, Anne Arundel Co., Maryland, (United States). (Mary Waters was born on 18 Nov 1686 in West River Hundred, Anne Arundel Co., Maryland, (United States) and died on 11 Aug 1769 in Northampton (Accomack), Virginia, (United States).)
