Lavada Marie "Sis" (Wood) Power, 71, of Joplin, Missouri, passed away at Freeman Hospital East after an illness.

Daughter of Lawrence L. and Charlotte J. (Large) Wood.

She married Tommy Richard Power on Feb. 12, 1942 in Miami, Oklahoma. He died Sept. 26, 1983.

Survivers include a son, Larry Richard Power, Tulsa, Okla; two daughters, Laveta Ann Williams and Mary June McCarty, both of Quapaw, Oklahoma.

Three brothers, Bobby Lee Wood and Larry Gene Wood both of Picher, Oklahoma, and Garland Leon "Bud" Wood of Commerce, Oklahoma. One sister, Betty Joe Little, Columbus, Kansas.

She was preceeded in death by her parents, infant twins, Allen and Lavene Power, and three brothers; Willis Leroy Wood, J.C. Wood, who died at the age of 11, and an infant brother, Alva Charles Wood.

Lavada married Thomas Richard Power on 12 Feb 1942. (Thomas Richard Power was born on 29 Feb 1924, died on 26 Sep 1983 and was buried in Burson Cemetery, Seneca, Newton, Missouri, United States.)
