Tudor Trevor ap Ynyr ap Cadforch Lord of Herefored and Whittington

I (London, 1847), p. 655 "TUDOR TREVOR, (so called, because born or nursed at Trevor,) Lord of Hereford, Whittington, and both Maelors, and Founder of the Tribe of the Marches--an appellation derived from the numerous families seated in the marches of England and Wales, descended from him [Ynyr ap Cadforch]. Tudor Trevor's chief seat was Whittington Castle, of which he is said to have been the founder, and the Welsh heralds assign to him as ensigns, "Parted, per bend, sinister, ermine and ermines, over all a Lion, rampant, or," which, as chief arms, or quartered, have been borne by all his descendants. Tudor married Angharad ferch Hywel Dda, daughter of Hywel Dda King of Deheubarth and Elen ferch Llywarch. (Angharad ferch Hywel Dda was born circa 900 in Deheubarth, Wales.)
