Crowder, William. Private. Baptized at Kinderhook, NY, 21 Aug 1768. Son of Private William Crowder and Hannah Rous. Settled on the Susquehanna River near his brother James about 1775. Served from 25 Oct 1778 to 8 Feb 1779. Settled in Osnabruck Township, Upper Canada. In 1818 on the rolls of the Dundas Militia. In 1840 he was described as "aged, infirm, poor and unable to procure a livelihood for himself and his aged companion." Died 1848. Children: Margaret, Anthony, Anna, Elizabeth, William, Catherine, Mary, Magdalena, Andrew, Joseph, Sally, Charles.
