Edgar (Doc) Hayes Dies.

Picher, Okla., April 17 - Edgar (Doc) Hayes, 41 years old, a resident of the Tri-state district all of his life, died at 9 o'clock last night at his home, 302 East Twelfth Street. He was born at Prosperity, Mo., and had lived in Picher 20 years. He formerly was employed as a hoistermen. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Lilly Hayes; his mother, Mrs. Sarah B. Hayes; two sons, Edgar Hayes, Jr., and Benny Hayes, and two stepsons, the Rev. Shade Cooper and Wayne Cooper, all of Picher. Funeral arrangements are in charge of the Durnil funeral home.

• Residence, 1920-1940, Picher, Ottawa, Oklahoma, United States. His home was in the Mineral Heights addition. His family continued to live in the house after his death.

• Occupation: hoistman.

Edgar married Clara Lily Carnal, daughter of Spencer Estes Carnal and Della Theresia Large, about 1922 in Ottawa, Oklahoma, United States.
