~Final Concords of the County of Lancaster, Part I, p. 201, Joan, daughter and heiress of Alan de Singleton, as heir to her brother Thomas, who died young. She married Thomas Banastre of Bretherton, great-grandfather of Sir Thomas Banastre, K.G., who was drowned at sea, 16 Dec 1379.
